Do you know the ins and outs of writing for online content, love playing video games and need more exposure? We’re always looking for writers with a passion for the Games Entertainment Industry. If you’re interested in writing articles, previews or reviews for the GamersOnly Network site, send a sample of your work to gamersonly.jobs@gmail.com with the subject line “Freelance Writer.” You should be able to produce at least one article or pre/review per week.
Games News Editor – PlayStation
On-site: New York (Mid-town Manhattan), NY
- Position Summary: This Games News Editor position is for the PlayStation family and we’re looking for a guru — someone that knows the platform and its games inside and out. You are responsible for all aspects of writing and editing content for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Network, and PlayStation Vita game categories. Your daily tasks will include writing and publishing content to include news, game features, reviews, and videos. You are required to produce at least one pre/review per week. You are required to communicate and interact with press contacts for developer and/or publishing studios to obtain game assets. You may be required to attend gaming/interactive conferences and expos as the voice and face of GamersOnly Network.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Journalism or an online media related degree or certification or 2-4 years experience writing for an online audience.
- An excellent grasp of the English language, both verbal and written, is a must.
- Experience working within a content management system
- Experience with pulling traffic to your content via social and media websites
- Fast and accurate, and a strong eye for detail is a must
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with all levels within a company
- Should be available to work at least one day on the weekend, as needed.
- As a PlayStation guru, you should have expert knowledge of the PlayStation systems, to include hand-helds and consoles.
- A passion for working in the Games Entertainment Industry is a must.
This is a full-time on-site position. Please do not apply if you can not be in Mid-town Manhattan, New York, NY, Monday through Friday.
