Via the ArenaNet blog today, Mike O’Brien, President and Founder of ArenaNet, posted an announcement about the Guild Wars 2 beta kicking off soon. Closed beta will happen sometime in February for select press, and according to the post “… in March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate. “
That’s not clear that open beta will start sometime in Spring, but one can only hope.
O’Brien also mentions the launch of Guild Wars 2 sometime in 2012. “And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year.”
